After finish typing your blog, you happily publish it. Then you hope for the best that some Search Engine companies like Google, Yahoo & MSN will search your blog and index your posting in their Search Engine. My question to you is what will happen if your blog posting is not indexed in the Search Engine? You will be wasting your time writing, formatting and updating the blog, right! If not index, then other people will not be able to search your posting in the Search Engine.
Well, do you know there are cases where your posting will not be updated in the Search Engine database? One of the causes could be there are some errors in the HTML coding.
Therefore to be on the safe side, it is better for you to check up in the Search Engine itself and see whether your posting has been indexed in their database.
Now, you will be wondering how to search for it, right?
Considering there are millions of postings from high ranking websites & blogsites that are position higher than your posting, you might be thinking it is a difficult task.
Well, worry no more. There is a simple solution that you can easily use and check on your posting. But before you proceed with the below command to check it, you need to be aware that Google at times take a few days before it indexes your posting. So you only check your posting after a few days you publish it.
For Google Search Engine, you just need to go to Google and at the search box, key in “site:http://www.yourdomainame.com”( exclude the quotation mark “ “). It will display a list of your postings. From there you can go through and see whether your current posting is updated in the Search Engine.
